Access Meditation is a modern meditation program that is the product of over a decade of research and development. It is designed to make the profound benefits of meditation and breathwork as accessible and impactful as possible. Access Meditation doesn’t require any special garb, lifestyle, or belief system. It also doesn’t require any special skill or ability to focus. The methodology used in this system is extremely "user friendly". Access Meditation de-excites the mind and settles the body into a state of deep rest and relaxation automatically and spontaneously without any effort, focus or concentration, or attempting to control the mind or suppress thoughts.

Access Meditation is a system that consists of two separate techniques: a breathing technique and its variations, which we call Access Calm and a mental technique called Access Stillness. What makes this system truly unique is the way it leverages the mind-body connection in two directions through a powerful sequence that produces remarkable results.

This system takes both a “bottoms up” approach (body influencing the mind) through the breathing technique and a “top-down” approach (mind influencing the body) through the mental technique. The result is effortlessly settling your mind into a de-excited state while your body automatically and spontaneously enters into a deep state of rest and relaxation.

The Access Calm breathing technique is a “bottoms up” methodology because it directly and primarily impacts the body, putting the body into a very settled place by triggering the parasympathetic nervous system to automatically reduce heart rate and induce relaxation. The mind and body are intrinsically connected. And because of this connection, when you practice Access Calm, as your body settles down through the breathing technique, your mind begins to settle as well.

This is very much in the same experience that you've had if you've ever gotten a really great massage. Imagine that you hire a highly skilled massage therapist and you're on the table and a little while into, by having that therapist working on your body, your body starts to relax and your mind begins to settle on its own. There's a moment that occurs in the massage where you forget that it's even happening. You're not asleep. You're awake, but you forget that you're getting a massage. You forget that there's even another person in the room. Your body has settled so much so that your mind gets to a settled place too. That's the bottom-up methodology, where the body influences the mind. This is what happens with the Access Calm breathing technique.

You can use the Access Calm technique entirely on its own, as an emergency brake, in moments of acute stress when feeling overwhelmed. You will also use the Access Calm in sequence with the Access Stillness mental technique as part of your daily Access Meditation practice, where you would do a few minutes of the breathing technique immediately before you begin the mental technique. When you use these two techniques in sequence, you get to a very, very settled place, quickly and efficiently. And by having a daily practice of Access Meditation, you’ll only need to pull that emergency brake very rarely, if at all, because you won’t be getting overwhelmed with life’s demands. The demands won’t be going away, but the way they make you feel will change. A daily practice of Access Meditation reconditions both your mind and body so that you can be infinitely more adaptable and flexible when faced with any type of demand, challenge, or obstacle life throws at you, expected or not.

The second technique, Access Stillness, is a mental technique, a form of mantra meditation. We refer to this as a top-down methodology because instead of addressing the body first, the technique has a primary impact on your mind and a secondary, yet incredibly profound impact on your body.

Access Stillness is a very different type of mantra meditation. Through this mental technique, you experience a unique sound, a specially designed mantra, which is not a word or a phrase. It’s a sound. And it’s not something that’s played for you or that you listen to with headphones. Rather, when you experience this sound silently and effortlessly in your mind, your mind will de-excite or settle automatically and spontaneously without any focus, concentration or effort. You don’t need to try to quiet your mind or block out or suppress any thoughts for the technique to work. You practice it sitting very comfortably with your back supported and eyes closed.

Because the mind and body are connected, when you practice the Access Stillness technique, as your mind de-excites and settles, your body automatically and spontaneously enters into a deep relaxed state, a state of profound deep rest. 20 minutes of this mental technique feels like 1 to 2 hours of sleep. Do this twice a day and it’s like operating on an extra 3 to 4 hours of sleep. Imagine what it feels like to go through the day without battling fatigue and exhaustion.

Access Meditation is not only very simple, easy, and enjoyable to practice, it’s also incredibly effective in reducing stress, helping you overcome anxiety, depression, and insomnia.  Having a daily practice of Access Meditation allows you to get the very most out of your life. An experience of your life that’s fun, fulfilling, and meaningful. It’s time to reimagine what’s possible for you.
